Yellowstone or Bust...(whatever that means)

Since we didn't have church on Sunday we decided to take advantage and go to Yellowstone. What? It's because of General Conference? Ohhhhhh. I actually LOVE conference. You get to sit around and be uplifted for two days while eating junk. We don't get in on TV up here in Montana. SO we will have to read it all in the Ensign. Awesome about the Philadelphia temple! I'm sure we would of gone more if they had one there 4 years ago.

SO, here we are at the entrance.
Of course we have to get the picture that looks like M is holding a buffalo in his hand. SO original.

Eating at Pete's Pizza in West Yellowstone. 2 thumbs up for the cute chick behind the camera.
The geysers. Not the sweetest smell in the world. And of course Old Faithful. Kind of a weak one.
The hot chocolate was good. We stayed in a hotel which is always fun for the kids. Especially when it advertises a "heated pool" and it's not. Daegan and Mason went to the IMAX and saw a movie about Yellowstone. How appropriate, right. Anyways, good times.

p.s. So this dumb... I wrote Yellowstone or bust as my title but really has no idea what it means. I have seen it on cars many times when someone is traveling somewhere.

My Eli turns the big 1

Here is my little man 1 year ago. They are so cute when they are asleep. The cutest really. So quiet. So NOT whiny.
Eli weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz. and was 2 days late.

Here I am 1 year ago. I don't look that different.......bummer.

I guess he wanted a pony. Okay, so the cake turned out nothing like the picture. It is a caterpillar if you can't tell. I won't even show you what it was supposed to look like. It looks like it has a broken neck. I am aware of this.
At least he didn't care about the appearance of the cake.

I'm not sure how much I weigh. But my mom's back hurts her alot. So it must be a big number.
I am a mommas boy.
I love taking baths and I hate having my diaper changed. (wouldn't you?)
I love my pacifier & bottle but don't give me a sippy. I don't like them.
I have taken about 7 steps (my brother and sister didn't walk until about 13 months...I don't want to show them up.

I love my brother and sister.

Daddy took me to Fudruckers for dinner. I think I over heard my mom telling him I wanted to go there. Thanks Daddy!

I can't walk yet but can do this.......

I (amy) was doing the dishes and turned around and saw this. I can't remember what it was but I let him keep eating it for a minute. It was on the very top of the garbage. I stopped him right after the video. Okay, maybe 5 minutes after. Happy birthday bubba.....We love you!

(take my poll at top)

funny things kids say & new callings

So I keep telling myself that I need to write down the funny things my kids do/say. You know, because I seem to be forgetting things lately.

This past Fast Sunday Mason wanted to share his testimony. This was his first time and he went up all by himself. After saying sweet things like " Thank you for this wonderful earth" he closes by saying "and that all." When he came down he said "Mom, I didn't know how to end it."

On the way to orientation to meet his teacher he says "Mom, I'm going to like my teacher, even if she's fat." Okay. Seriously, I don't know where he picks up on things.

Daegan and I received callings in our ward. I am the music leader in Relief Society. I know, right. I do not play the piano and I can't sing. I can maybe lead because of the pictures in the book.
Daegan is the 11 year old scout master. Yeah for him. Now he has someone to teach besides Mason how to survive in the outdoors and knife handling.

We are off to Idaho for the weekend. Daegan is going on another fishing trip. Brock Williamson is evil.

Must try recipe.....yummy!

I made this for dinner tonight. I wish I had a taken a picture before ate it. But, I didn't.
My friend Sarah gave me this recipe to try. It was super easy. No I did not personally make it up like I do my other recipe's.
I don't want to talk it up to much so here it is..................

Chicken Pesto Lasagna

1 box cooked lasagna (I only used 9 noodles)
1 jar alfredo sauce
8 oz. Italian cheese
2 or 3 chicken breasts cooked and sliced
1/4 cup pesto sauce

mix Alfredo, pesto, and 1/3 Cup water
Cook and slice chicken
Layer in greased casserole dish: sauce, noodles, sauce, chicken, and cheese....... 3 times.
Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes then broil 4-5 minutes.

DELISH!!!!!!!!!
