Christmas Festivities

We started off Christmas Eve sledding with some friends. Eli had the most fun.

Christmas morning. This is like the 4th year that Mason has wanted some kind of sword thing. This time it was a sword that turns into a gun. We keep getting bigger.

I am so against any sort of gaming system. X-box. PS3. Daegan has no self-control when it comes to those things. But.....I wanted the Wii. We have only had it a few days and it's a lot of fun. (Daegan did stay up 1 night playing Mario kart until 3)

After opening presents we headed off to Idaho to see my family. The weather was n-a-s-t-y.

Here we are eating at Jaker's. My sister is a waitress and hooked us up with free food. My grandparents from Star Valley came to visit us. I love old people.

Daegan got me a gift card to a spa which I am really excited to use. I LOVE being pampered. I hope you all had a great Christmas. We have really enjoyed getting all the Christmas cards. Maybe I will get crazy and send out cards for Martin Luther King day or Easter.

Opposites

This is what Daegan does when it's -11 degrees. This is what I do.
Would you be inside with me sipping hot chocolate?
Or freezing outside with Daegan.
Seriously.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I didn't send out Christmas cards this year. All the family pictures we tried to take I just didn't look good in. Hard to believe, I know. You can stop checking your mailbox twice a day for a letter postmarked Montana. I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!!! (via blog)

smart thinking

The kids had some chocolate cake yesterday and it was all over the kitchen and the carpet. I vacuumed today. The kids wanted more cake. I made them eat their cake outside. Because I'm not vacuuming twice in one day. It was a comfortable 40 degrees. They ate it fast.

This could have been all over my floor. Smart thinking. And I didn't even go to dental school.

I should write a parenting book.

happy happy happy

My little girl turned 4 yesterday. She spent the morning at pre-school and later we had a family dinner at home. What? You don't want to go out for your birthday? No, she wanted mashed potatoes, chicken, and green beans. Tomorrow I am taking her and 2 of her friends out to lunch. Here is my baby on her blessing day.

Such attitude.

Another reason to celebrate.....I made fondant for the first time.

All she wanted was a baby. And a crib for her baby. I don't have a picture but we got her a little pack and play for her little one.

Happy Birthday Camden!

Daegan wins first place....part II

THE package arrived today. Daegans knives. He was very excited. Which, if you know Daegan is a big deal. To show emotion toward something.

This one's my favorite

Testing out the sharpness. Careful with those money maker hands.

Spiderman, Hulk, and Coffee

Funny things Mason said today.

I was walking into the school to pick up Mason (on time) and I saw someone from my ward who works in the lunch room. She said that today Mrs. Renner (his teacher) came up to her and told her what Mason said. Here it goes.

Mrs . Renner was drinking coffee

Mason..."You shouldn't drink coffee, it's bad for you."
Mrs. Renner..."You’re right Mason, it is bad. I shouldn't do it."
Mason..."If you do bad things you should go to church."

While she was telling the lunch lady this she said

"Is he a mormon or something"
Lunch lady. "Yes, actually he is."

While driving in the car

Mason...."Dad, this might be a hard question"
Daegan..."Okay"
Mason (very serious) "If the Hulk and Spiderman were fighting who would win? They are both so strong."

I actually think it would be Spiderman.

I love it when they ask random questions like this. I have to document it so if the Hulk and Spiderman ever do fight I will have called it.

yes, another Halloween post

So I'm sure you've noticed the trend in people's posts lately. At the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, trunk or treats, costumes, and so on. I love it and think it's funny. So with that being said, here are my kids on the big day. We started if off at around 4 where I took M & C down town with my friend Alicia for some trick or treating on main street. It was busy but fun. Then we headed over to the trunk or treat. We skipped out on the complimentary hot dogs and forked out the big $$ at Costco. Oh no, our night didn't stop there. We then went to our friends for some after hours partying.

Eli was the cutest pumpkin.

pumpkin, pirate, and princess/fairy/angel.
Someone said that Eli's costume matched his hair. haha so funny. And I think that Camden is so dang cute.
So there you go. Happy freakin Halloween.
I am SO excited for Christmas.
Yes, I know that Thanksgiving comes before that.

Daegan wins first place

If dentistry doesn't work out for Daegan he may have a future in photography. At least of capturing a great picture of his knife.
Daegan entered a contest and won first place. He is very excited. His gets 3 knives. Very nice ones apparently. Check out this link and scroll to the bottom of the page. All his pics are of the orange knife. Good job babe. Good job.

A week in Review

What's been going on.....

Last weekend I went to Idaho to meet up with a couple of my girlfriends from High school. We got a hotel and had lots of fun. I didn't take any pictures. I should of just to show you that I don't look like this anymore......

While I was gone Daegan made Eli look like a clown. He did not use MY make-up. I don't wear blue.

Daegan lost his wedding ring. Nice. I wasn't mad. I like to pretend I'm single too once in awhile. The only thing that does make me sad is that it's not a big deal to him to get a new one. He wanted a gun for Christmas.....things change.

Daegan added a bumper sticker to the car.

Yes, I sell candles

Yes, I am now a Scentsy consultant. Which is a fancy name for I sell candles. I have had my warmer for about a year and I love it! Very few people have heard of them here in Bozeman so I decided to introduce them. I have my party next week so hopefully it will go well. I had Daegan put one in his office and 3 people ordered one. If you haven't heard of them you can check them out here. Yum! (but you don't eat them)

Rock creek farm

I love, love fall! I took the kids to take a hay ride and pick out a pumpkin. They had all these swings to play on while we waited for the tractor.
This is Mason picking out his pumpkin. Seriously. It's so big that he is rolling it back to the wagon. I realized I didn't have cash to pay for the pumpkin, so I told him to leave it here and we will go somewhere else and get a BETTER pumpkin. I heard that our bank was giving away FREE pumpkins so we headed over there. Well, they were all gone.

Oh, and Eli is walking!

yearly pictures

We took the kids to Wal-mart to get some pics taken. I am not one of those parents who take there kids to get pictures done every 3 months. I usually try and get some done every fall. Too expensive. Some of them are really dark. The kids did awesome. I'm not in any of these so don't get your hopes up.

I like this one of the boys. Camden obviously wasn't looking at the same thing as they were.
