A couple days later he receives a package in the mail and tells me that he bought me a present.
Maybe its a gift card from the nail place. Yeah!
Nope, it was a flashlight. A $15 flashlight.
(FYI.....Daegan is a flashaholic and he secretly wants me to share his passion.)
Then I sent him to Target to get a couple things and he brings me home this. (I did mention awhile ago that a knife in my purse would be handy) This also costs $15. It may look familiar because it is the same Swiss Army Knife he bought Mason for Christmas. Only mine is blue.
If you need to get a calculator out to add these two gifts together go ahead. I'm sure you got the same answer as me. $30. Which is the price of the mani and pedi. I guess D thought this was just as good as having someone rubbing my feet and hands. Thanks for the gifts honey. It was thoughtful!
Maybe his plan is to do it himself using the light and the nail file on my knife.
I'll keep you posted.

I think having a knife and flashlight is a great idea. In fact, I am thinking of going to get one of each for myself. A mani and pedi are only temporary pleasures. Who knows how many times you will need to have a light to see the person you are attacking with your knife in the middle of the night. Gotta love him. He has great intentions....
Oh, that's sweet of him! Brock won't ever buy (or even PICK) me flowers, but he has given me a shotgun, fishing pole, Dremel, his old golf clubs when he buys himself new ones (VERY good of him), and a turkey cannon. I guess our husbands really subscribe to the idea that you should give gifts you'd like to receive yourself. Hmmm. Maybe I'll get some flowers for Brock on Father's Day...
clear your schedule, I'll take you for Mani, Pedi, my treat. What the heck, lets do lunch too. Call me. I know we are short on time.
You crack me up! I love reading your blog. Matt got me an Ipod for Mother's Day and as soon as I started putting some country songs on it that I like he started complaining saying, "I guess I'll have to get one too if you're gonna fill it up with crap music." Wait a second...I thought it was MY Ipod...guess not :-)
How thoughtful he is! I've never had a mani or a pedi. I keep dropping hints that it would be an excellent gift idea, but so far he hasn't picked up on it.
Utter hilarity, Amy. Thanks for making my night!
Their Vietnamese...is that how it is spelled?
