Snow Day

Growing up in Idaho they hardly ever cancelled school. It had to be the worst snow storm or a shortage of potaoes or something. Out here, they will cancell school and close down stores before it even starts to snow. If there is a prediction.....cancelled. I guess in Idaho we are used to the snow just like Philly is used the shootings.
Just wanted to give a shout out to friends and family to let them know we are okay. We have plenty of food and water. Even though ice freezes to the inside of our windows, we are warm. (I'm sure those of you that have moved on can remember.) Actually, we have freezing rain now, just to give some credit to the meteorologist.

After having Mason home today I realized how much I like it that he is in school. In Between him begging me to take him to Burger King to get a kids meal, (because apparently there is a cool new toy), and Camden wanting to play Candy Land, we made sugar cookies and took them to a few of our neighbors. Mason also wants to go to Toys R' Us so I can buy him a toy........ya know, for Valentine's Day. He will have to make that request to his valentine, Abrie. Daegan took this picture of Eli with our new digital camcorder we recieved from his parents.
Camden wanted to wear her new shirt I bought for her and I said no, so she went ahead and did it anyways (surprise) and hid under her blankets. She fell asleep. So cute. (BTW...Old Navy is having a 40% baby and kids sale)
Eli and his first rice cereal
I'm not sure what is up with Mason's eye......probably something contagious. Camden licked the knife AFTER we were done frosting. And after she saw me doing it first.

Cute. I love that the shirt has the tags on it still and is on backwards to boot.

If you look really closely, you can see me spying out my window.

Just for the record, canceling school/work/closing stores is totally legit if freezing rain is the highlight of the lunchtime news.

Plus, when you all are living back in YouDaHo next winter and Mason has to spend ALL DAY in school, despite the 6 feet of snow that just got dropped, you can remind him that once upon a time in PA he got a snow day.

Rob and I have driven through several severe snow storms that hardly make the news here and laughed at how in PA snow storms half the size we are experiencing would be "breaking news" and require a newscaster on ever corner. You gotta love easterners and their inability to deal with snow.

looks like a fun valentines day! I do agree that its weird how they cancel everthing out here for a little snow.
